The Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is a yearly count of all birds in the Western Hemisphere and it has been taking place since 1900! This is the longest-running Citizen Science project in North America. Each year, members and friends of Nature Moncton crisscross Greater Moncton to count wild bird species in our area.
Volunteers are also needed to count birds at the feeders in their yard. This year’s compiler is Susan Atkinson. She can reached at susandatkinson@hotmail.com.
More information about how you can get involved in the 2023 count will be posted in late November/early December. Mitch Doucet will be this year’s compiler and he can be reached at MitchDoucet@Gmail.com.
